The abc Deluxe lateral arm retractable awning is based on the enhanced system developed in Sweden by EGE Westin AB. This system incorporates the latest advancements including a variable pitch adjustment for the arms and an energy absorbing shoulder. abc imports the critical components of this system from EGE Sweden and assembles them at our North Hollywood factory to produce one of the most reliable time proven lateral arm awning systems available today.

Much care is taken in assembling the awing and in the fabrication of the cover. All covers are sewn with Gore-Tex Tenera thread to assure that all seams and the applications of the valance braid will outlast the life of the fabric. The braid is carefully applied to the valance using a time consuming European double fold technique to produce a tight attractive application rather than the single fold zigzag application utilized most other manufacturers.

Hardware is available in White, Sand and Bronze colors.

Standard operation is by soomth German Geiger bevel gears and crank, or by optional Somfy 500 or 600 series motors depending of the size of the unit. Motors can be switch operated or by remote control or integrated into other automated controls.

Arms are constructed utilizing double tensioned springs connected to the forearm with a dual cable system.

The torsion bar, front bar, roller tube, wall and hood brackets and arem profiles are all manufactured with power coated extruded high quality aluminum.

Options include: Heavy gauge extruded aluminum hood and retractable valance.
