Wire Guided Tension Blind

The TESS range of shading systems has been developed to satisfy the demand for retractable sun screening on horizontal and sloping glazing. They are designed primarily for commercial buildings such as offices, shops, hotels and airports as well as glazed structures such as conservatories, winter gardens and restaurants.

Each unit has a built in Simu motor with the option of an integrated radio control for convenience in operation and simplified wiring. Group and automatic sun and /or wind control are available on all system. If the wind speed exceeds 35mph the blinds should be fully retracted.

The TESS 440 tension blind mechanism is suitable for rectangular fabric shades which are installed externally in front of or above the glazing. It can also be used for vertical applications where the fabric is pulling up from the bottom.

The fabric is held under tension throughout its travel and can be stopped in any position. A stainless steel wire acts as both a guide and a restraint for the aluminium hem bar and eliminates the need for relieving rollers or other forms of intermediate fabric support.
